Philip has worked in a variety of roles, including chief technical architect, program manager, and program director, for clients in the healthcare and space sectors. His efforts include variety of European telecommunications projects completed in conjunction with leading mobile network operators and mobile service providers, including British Telecom, Oracle, Hutchinson 3G, T-Mobile and IBM Global Services. He also worked with NASA to define technical processes and procedures for sharing and maintaining knowledge generated from space activities between member space agencies, including CNES, NASA, ESA, and ISRO.

Phillip serves on the Advisory Board for IGI Publishing; is the Associate Editor for the Journal of Information Technology Research and the International Journal of Healthcare Delivery Reform Initiatives; and is an Editorial Board Member for the International Journal of Healthcare Information Systems and Informatics.

A recognized speaker on the convergence of mobile telecommunication innovations and healthcare, Phillip has delivered more than 60 presentations to Fortune 100 companies in 12 countries in Asia, Europe and Africa, and to the United Nations. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in journals, and authored three industry reports, nine book chapters, and three books. Phillip is a member of MOCOM 2020, a non-profit open think tank for mobile media and communication worldwide; an accredited member of the British Association of Journalism; a Chartered IT Professional with the British Computing Society, and a member of the IEEE Society. Phillip holds a PhD in Mobile Telecommunications from Brunel University in London.
